It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Thanksgiving is officially over so I thought it appropriate to post this and start off the holiday fun! This was for my Decrative Illustration class, the assignment was to create a table place mat and a napkin to go along with it.
Here is the place mat, if you haven't been able to tell already I love animals and seals are one of my fav and what's cutter than a baby seal celebrating Christmas?

The napkin to go along with it. Both of these were done in Corel painter and I did a little editing in Photoshop.

Here is yet another work for my digital portfolio class. It is definitely one of my favorite classes because we are basically free to do what ever we want just as long as we try to create the best work we can to go into our portfolio.
So this one is from the story about the mouse and the lion in which the lion spares the mouses life and in return the mouse frees the lion from human captors which is the part of the story I decided to illustrate. I scanned in a pencil sketch and then finished it in Corel Painter. I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving!

I finally have new work I actually like! So the first is something I did for my digital portfolio class, it is an illustration from a children’s story about a mythical bird called the bitaba bird. One is born every 100 years from a geode and they live among the stars. I first did a sketch in pencil, as I always do, and scanned the sketch and finished it in Photoshop.

This second one was for my decorative illustration class. The assignment was to create a card celebrating new life. We had three lines to choose from to illustrate and I chose “Congratulations on your special delivery!” The actual print out would not have the dark blue top but be cut out in the cloud shape. I also did this in Photoshop.
